Support Global Grid

Global Grid is free to use, has no adverts and needs no sign-up. It is run by one person, who pays for it.

How the site is paid for

The costs are the domain name, hosting, email and the time it takes to keep the data flowing and the pages up to date. The optional Pro plan on the dashboard's Subscribe tab helps pay for it. There are no investors. A sponsor's message, when there is one, is always labelled "Sponsored", and the privacy policy will be updated before any advertising starts.

Ways to help

Share it. Link to a page, or use a screenshot with credit to "Global Grid (globalgrid.uk)".

Subscribe to Pro. The Pro plan on the dashboard's Subscribe tab adds longer carbon forecasts, more alerts, longer price histories and downloads, and pays for the site's running costs.

Report a mistake. If a figure looks wrong, email GlobalGrid365@gmail.com with the page and what you expected.

Give directly. A way to give directly is coming soon.

Sponsor the dashboard. A sponsor gets a small card labelled "Sponsored" at the foot of the dashboard's Country and World tabs, with a short message in their own words and a link. It is text only: no images, scripts, cookies or tracking. It is not shown to Pro members, and sponsors do not change the figures.

Commercial work. Global Grid can prepare custom data extracts, charts, maps and regular briefings on electricity, pipelines and energy security, and can license its own figures, such as the energy security scores, for use in products. Data from other organisations keeps its own licence and credit.

To ask about sponsorship or commercial work, email GlobalGrid365@gmail.com.

Global Grid is not a charity, so payments to it are not tax-deductible.
